MOTIONS DEBATED AT CONGRESS 2005


1. We demand that NPAVSCC enter into negotiations with the DES and the Dept of Transport about all aspects of safety on school transportThis Congress calls upon the Department of Education & Science, to abolish examination fees.

2. That NPAVSCC would negotiate with the DES to invest in the school transport system to bring it up to modern day standards- ie seat belts, one student/seat, and realibility.

3. That NPAVSCC would negotiat with Bus Eiresnn to develop a system with the relevant parties to reviewbus routes on a regular basis and to be open to changing routes if necessary folowing the review.

4. This Congress mandates the incoming executive of the NPAVSCC to explore the possibility of creating a single representative organisation for parents and children at second level education in this country. This should include mechanisms to deal with the differing structures of second level education. It is essential that any such single representative body have proper and sufficient funding to allow the effective carrying out of the important role of parents in the education of their children.

5. The Borrisokane C.C. Parents Association requests that Congress calls upon Congress urgently demands that the National Educational Service increase its number of Psychologists in order to provide an adequate and quick service to all schools

8. In order to comply with the terms of the Education and Welfare Act 2000 and to facilate the present day family structure NPAAVSCC for all suspensions to be within the education system.
